This porcelain Shiba Inu figurine will make the perfect gift for somebody who loves this affectionate dog breed.
The Shiba Inu figurine is a
newly made reproduction
from a somewhat vintage mold which has probably been used since the '70s or '80s. In those days, a large quantity of dog figurines was produced in Japan and exported worldwide under various brand names, such as Shafford, Napco or Lefton... Those manufacturers now no longer exist. However, some of their casting molds have been passed down and some dog breeds are still being made in small quantities in a small factory run by a husband and wife team, where this Shiba figurine is also made.

"Seto" is a city located in the center of Japan, and is also the center for Japan's ceramics industry.
