    Description

    This auction is for an original and highly desirable Postwar Lionel D-288 Animated Lion Dealer Display in Good (+) (C5-C6) condition with original box and original instruction sheet. Manufactured in 1961, this 36"H x 21.5"W cardboard display is complete but shows obvious signs of wear and taping; mid-section of display has been repaired (see pictures). The animated swinging lantern worked well when tested and is powered by its original Hankscraft D-cell battery motor. The original Allegheny Container Corporation shipping box grades Good (C5) with extensive repairs and taping; (see pictures). The original instruction sheet grades Good (+) (C5-C6) with signs of discoloration and wear. Carefully examine the detailed pictures provided to affirm condition and bid accordingly. A great addition to anyone's collection. Please note, the display will be shipped flat and placed in a larger box along with its original shipping box.
