Description
A set of railroad silverware, a silver plated sugar and creamer from a Pennsy dining car, each with an applied PRR Keystone, the sugar bowl 7 5/8" over the handles and 3 1/2" wide and 3" high and is marked on the underside with a keystone and intertwined letters PL (Philadelphia Line?), "1847 MERIDEN ROGERS BROS. NICKEL SILVER SILVER SOLDERED SX0891 SILVER SOLDERED 14 OZ.", the covered creamer with hinged lid 5 7/8 inches spot to handle, 3" wide and 4" high and is marked underneath with the same PL Keystone and "ROWLEY M'F'G' CO. SEAMLESS SILVER SOLDERED 3 5115 PAT. APPD. FOR" (Rowley Manufacturing in business in Philadelphia, Pa. circa 1900 and out of business by 1915), darkly tarnished with wear on the high points, with dings on the handles and some other shallow dents,the interior of the creamer actually pretty well plated and shiny, in generally good antique condition considering the amount of use they must have provided.On Jul-05-21 at 13:51:15 PDT, seller added the following information:
