    Alfalfa is a perennial forage for wildlife that is highly palatable and nutritious. It is winter hardy and can produce for multiple years if proper care is taken. It can be planted alone or with a mix of other crops like clovers. When mowing alfalfa, do it often unless you remove the cuts stems.
